Cerebral palsy (CP) is the most common physical disability in children, affecting 1 in 323 babies. It can be detected as early as 3 months old and that early detection is very beneficial in treatment. Occupational Therapy and Physical Therapy focuses on early intervention and uses CP-specific intense motor-learning and task specific approaches to improve a child’s outcome and quality of life. Today, in honor of National Cerebral Palsy Awareness Day, we share the story of Charlie, who demonstrates the success that can be achieved with early Occupational and Physical Therapy!
